Six Berlin boutique hotels and apartments implement their own hygiene concept
To ensure safety and health protection at the highest level, six owner-managed Berlin boutique hotels and apartments implement a comprehensive hygiene concept. The boutique hotel i31, the Gorki Apartments Berlin, the Lulu Guldsmeden, the Hotel Oderberger, the Orania Berlin and the The Circus Berlin cooperate for this.
With the specially initiated “Clean and Safe” seal, the companies want to offer the highest possible safety standards for the well-being of their guests and employees. Taking into account the current regulations for the hospitality industry of the State of Berlin and the occupational health protection and precautionary regulations, they have worked closely with each other to collect and evaluate those service areas that require special precautionary measures to protect health within the hotel industry. These areas include all areas of the operating facilities and customer communication, service, employee management and general rules of conduct. A detailed catalog of measures with detailed protective measures is stored for each area. These range from contactless check-in, service and payment processes, baggage acceptance, to practical employee training and the provision of personal work equipment.
Measures at all levels
The focus is on the efficient implementation and compliance with the prescribed hygiene requirements across all levels of operation, as well as the use of new instruments for compliance with distance and hygiene regulations, such as face shields, Plexiglas panes and distance markings. The recommendations for action also concern the transparency, completeness and comprehensibility of customer communication on the applicable hygiene measures, regular and thorough disinfection of all public spaces, walkways and all hotel rooms.
The use of the certificate is intended to create trust and underline that the measures of the Infection Ordinance of the Berlin Senate are taken seriously in these companies. Only when at least 80 percent of the precautionary provisions have been met can the “Clean and Safe” seal be used in communication.
